in the sierra nevada. the higher elevations. king's beach reporting just a light dusting of snow, truckee, still reporting rain. current temperatures there, 33 degrees. and blue canyon right now, some light rain as well. so, the snow levels are high now but will start to come down. santa rosa, over two inches from what we received this evening and last night. san francisco, close to an inch. oakland, over a half inch, and lesser amounts toward san jose. so it has been a nice rainmaker, overnight tonight. temperatures in the 50s and will remain in that zone overnight tonight. decreasing rain overnight. partial clearing by sunday afternoon, and looks like the showers will return as we head into late tuesday. you can see on our satellite radar composite just how quickly this ban moved through. these are clouds here and they could possibly still hold a few light showers. so, we'll say goodbye to the cold front and then we'll look for tomorrow morning, 5:00 a.m. a little bit of partial clearing but still possibly see a few stray showers here and there. so we'll keep enemy the forecast. if you're head

shopping at railly's. the stores throughout california and nevada went on strike at 6:00 this morning after talks broke down. abc7 news reporter kyra clapper joins us live from the railly's in fremont with details on the walkout. good morning. >> good morning, carolyn. this is the first walkout in the 77-year history of wailly's. it is over wages and retiree and health benefits facing cuts. they say it must reduce costs to become competitive. the union says it is a contract that erases decades of progress for grocery workers. at 6:00 a.m. three union members started their sunday in solidarity. forming a picket line in fremont because of what they say are unfair labor practices. >> we are starting to get a decent contract for the members. >> reporter: the dispute between railly and the workers union involves about 7,000 union members from grocery workers to meat cutters. 15 months of contract negotiations came to a head overnight and a midnight deadline came and went. >> hopefully this will send a message that you can take a little from people, but you can't take a lot. >> reporter: railly's

in nevada and colorado. nevada is a pathway to 270 without ohio. i think the post-mortem on this is that -- if the republicans don't win, a look a thow they dealt with the latino vote and the language they used and the perception that is created. the latino vote is one of the pillars of the obama strategy. and a big turnout like the president said -- this is a reason why he wins. he was playing the analyst and acts like he doesn't do it publically. >> the best visual we've seen about the changing face of american politics -- the percentage of the vote white voters make up. it is down 3-4 points each election adn this will continue a long time. it was a reality they could blow off but they can't win without improving those numbers. >> you saw rubio try to do that -- >> and -- it was such a moment. really. and if we see, if republicans are serious about that, they will get serious about immigration reform. >> i will make a prediction if romney doesn't win. this is the last time we see a major party ticket with two white men on it. it will be almost automatic you have

. look at florida and you look at colorado and you look at nevada and you could even argue iowa, but state after state the latino vote would be taken out the democrats would have lost. even in florida was 61-39. cuban-americans are no longer the majority in florida among latinos but also the younger generation of cuban-americans voting like puerto rican or dominicans, not voting like they anti-castro parents and grandparents. asian-americans was the biggest shift, 75-25 for obama and i remember covering the 2000 race, gore bush. i think loesh actually want the american vote -- asian-american vote. the asian-american vote was a swing vote leaning republican and yesterday it was 3-1 democratic. urban rural, they are mirror images and it's roughly 60-40 and demographically the urban areas or rural a marriott. if you want to bet on rural population going ahead. young and old. again, the youngest voters are the most pro-obama although i will say that the 18 to 21 voters are less pro-obama or were less pro-obama than the people slightly older than they are, the 21 to 30 but still, w
